And we are back ladies and gentlemen.. a new Q&A!!! This time we have the lovely Prescott Lane... I am a new reader to her and I must say that I fell completely in love with her book All My Life.. It touched a spot on my heart like no other... See the book is about a teen boy who becomes a single dad... needless to say those who follow my journey know that I married a man that was a teen dad... who at 16 had a little girl.. and 6 years later I met them and married them... that was almost 11 years ago...

Prescott Lane. I'm not gonna lie. I had to google a/s/l. I wasn't on any social media until I started writing. LOL! I'm 43, female, and live in New Orleans, LA.
Tall, 5'8 in flats. Currently my hair is dark blonde, but I can't promise it will be tomorrow. I've got blue eyes and am as white as a ghost.
What do you love about where you live?
New Orleans has a lot of history and can be very romantic. I've written a few books that take place in New Orleans (Perfectly Broken and To the Fall) because I feel like the city becomes a character itself.
What do you dislike about where you live?
It's HOT! Like all the time.
How’s the family doing?
Family is all good.
Any furry family members?
We have two dogs. Beau and Maggie.
Are you a person who makes their bed in the morning, or do you not see much point?
Depends on the day.
Are you a “talk to me as soon as I wake up” or “STFU let me enjoy my coffee first” kind of person?
I don't drink coffee, but I need a few minutes to wake up in the morning.
Do you get road rage? What pisses you off the most about other drivers?
Not often, but I don't like it when people take up two spots in a parking lot.

Depends on if the kids are home. LOL!

Only my ears, and I didn't do that until I was 19.
Biggest pet peeve?
That no one in my house can change the toilet paper roll but me! They literally just place the new roll on the back of the toilet or on top of the empty one. Drives me bonkers!

Who are some of your favorite authors?
Sandra Brown is always good for a suspense. I'm obsessed with Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I'm a sucker for the classics too, like the Bronte sisters.
Who inspires you?
So many people. My girlfriends, my kids, my husband, strangers on the street. Inspiration is everywhere if we just take the time to notice.
What do you write?
Contemporary Romance
What do you do when you are not writing?
When I'm not writing, I'm being a wife and mom. Between the two, I'm very busy.
How did you choose the genre you write in?
I didn't chose to write contemporary romance. It chose me. The characters just start talking to me, and I have to write it down.
Where do you get your ideas?
Ideas come from a lot of places. One time I saw a necklace and BOOM, a whole story popped in my head. (Quiet Angel)
What was the first book you ever wrote and how did it come about?
First Position. My daughter had just started kindergarten, and I started writing one day. I didn't tell anyone but my husband. I didn't even think I'd publish it, but with his encouragement, I did.
Which one of your books is your favorite and why?
That's like picking your favorite child. I don't really have a favorite. They are each special in their own way.
Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?
There is a piece of me in every book. The stories aren't necessarily things I've been through (THANK GOD), but I leave parts of my heart in the pages.

Do you like cliffhangers?
Nope, that's why I don't write them.

Why should I add it to my TBR?
Honest, I'm not good at selling myself. I find it hard to toot my own horn! I can tell you that I pour my heart into my books, and I hope that shows in my stories.
